January 2022 Chapter Meeting

NAPO Houston holds its monthly meeting on the first Thursday of every month (except July) from 6:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.  We currently meet at the United Way of Greater Houston’s Community Resource Center, located at 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007. The meeting no longer includes dinner but attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks or dinner.

At a typical monthly membership meeting you can look forward to:

  • Time to network with your peers
  • Table talk discussions around relevant organizing topics
  • Chapters news, volunteer opportunities, and member spotlights
  • Guest speakers sharing resources for running your business and improving your skills as an organizer or productivity consultant

We welcome all members, business partners, and guests. This is an opportunity for you to network with other organizers and ask questions about business practices, our national and local associations, or about becoming a professional organizer or productivity consultant. As a guest, you are welcome to attend three meetings, before you will be required to become a NAPO Houston member.

Topic: Using Google Workspace to Help Your Clients Become More Productive

If your clients are using Google or Google Workspace, formerly known as G-Suite, learn how you can make recommendations and offer tips to help them manage their information quicker, more accurately, and securely.

Todd will walk you through the basics of Google for Personal Accounts and show how Google Workspace offers more tools for collaboration and productivity. You’ll learn how you can help your clients utilize all of the features of these amazing platforms and a few lesser-known features and tools that make them one of the most popular technology tools available today.

No need to be a technology expert for this presentation. You’ll walk away with a great knowledge of how you can make recommendations to your clients who may be seeking assistance with Google or perhaps have questions about Google Workspace.

Please note that the presentation is CEU eligible! 

Todd’s Bio: Todd Allan, owner of Structured Space LLC has been an organizer for over 7 years. He started primarily working on residential projects but recognized his love for technology and staying on top of digital clutter. Being Google Cloud Certified in Google Workspace as well as an Evernote Certified Consultant, Todd now works with individuals and small businesses on organizing digital information, helping clients roll out Google Workspace, and create information workflows with Evernote. Todd’s career has spanned several industries. His business experience has moved from food production, sales, and marketing roles. He has worked on several technology platforms from Microsoft Small Business Server, Microsoft Office, the Apple ecosystem, and all things Google. Todd is driven by helping clients overcome digital clutter and learn new innovative ways to communicate and collaborate more effectively.

*Inviting all NAPO Houston new members, new business partners, and guests! Please join us for a hybrid format meet and greet before the regular chapter meeting. This is an opportunity for you to network with other organizers and ask questions about business practices, our national and local associations, or about becoming a professional organizer or productivity consultant. As a guest, you are welcome to attend three meetings, before you will be required to become a NAPO Houston member. Members are welcome to join as well.

Please note: This meeting will be held in a hybrid format, both in-person at United Way of Greater Houston’s Community Resource Center and virtually via ZOOM.

United Way’s address: 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007. The meeting will not include dinner but attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks or dinner.

Registered attendees who would like to attend virtually will receive an email with a ZOOM link on the day of our meeting.

August 2021 Chapter Meeting – Volunteering – Houston Food Bank

Our August Chapter Meeting will be a volunteering experience in the Houston Food Bank on August 5th to give back to our community! 

Our shift starts at 6pm and will end at 9pm. 

If you are interested, please reach out to our Professional Development Director, Blanka, at meetings@napohouston.com. She has to coordinate the number of volunteers and share some information with those joining us. 

If you are available, please join us. The more, the merrier!

We welcome all members, business partners, and guests. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community TOGETHER!
