November Chapter Meeting

You’ve had a delightful phone conversation with a woman who says she needs some organizing help. You schedule your first organizing session. When you arrive at her home, she opens the door and the smell of filth smacks you in the face. This is no ordinary organizing session! It’s full-on A&E Hoarding! I’ll discuss how to assess a hoarding situation, some basic techniques, as well as how to know when you’re in over your head.
Ann Zanon, CPO, began her career as a professional organizer in February 2011. She has been a member of NAPO since 2013 and earned her certification in 2014. She is a residential and small business organizer specializing in move management, photo organizing ,and chronic disorganization. Her very first client was a woman with hoarding disorder. The complexities involved in working with this woman piqued her interest in learning how to help people who are impacted by hoarding. Ann is co-leader of the NAPO Hoarding Specialists SIG, member of APPO, ICD, NAPO, NAPO-Houston and the founder of the Houston Area Hoarding Task Force.
All members, business partners, and guests are invited to attend our monthly NAPO Houston meeting at the United Way of Greater Houston’s Community Resource Center, located at 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007. This is an opportunity for you to network with other organizers and ask questions about business practices, our national and local associations, or about becoming a professional organizer or productivity consultant. As a guest, you are welcome to attend three meetings, before you will be required to become a NAPO Houston member.
The meeting no longer includes dinner but attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks or dinner.
